Our Mission

Recherche Solutions Matières Résiduelles (RSMR) is a non-profit association based in Canada’s National Capital Region. We advance the responsible use and value creation of residual materials through research, systems analysis and applied practice. Our work examines how waste streams, construction materials, industrial by-products and recovered resources interact with land use, housing and public decision-making.

RSMR focuses on clarifying constraints, trade-offs and long-term consequences so choices can occur earlier, more transparently and with fewer unintended harms. We conduct public-interest research, support practical circular recovery and durable building initiatives, and collaborate with local communities, professionals and institutions.
